Technical
During every training session there will be a focus on the technical ability of the player. The players will always be worked hard on their technique.
· How to control the ball correctly
· How to pass the ball correctly
· Ball mastery “the ball is your biggest opponent” at this age.
Speed and Agility
We will also be focusing on Football Specific Speed and Agility
(the game is getting faster every day!!)
Tactical
Individual game tactics and group tactics
· Where the player positions himself/herself individually
· Where the player positions himself/herself in a team shape.
9/7 a-side in house Tournament
· Each of the squads will be split into 9 a-side teams or 7 a-side teams.
· They will play each other in different formations 1:3:3:2, 1:3:2:3, 1:3:3, 1:3:2:1 ect
· This will give our players a great insight into playing different systems, playing 9/7 a side makes it easier for the children to learn and understand them.
Systems/Formations of play 1.4:3:3 – 1.4:4:2 – 1.4:2:3:1 (Theory)
Pros and cons of different 11 a side playing formations
All the top teams in the world play with a back 4 – and so will we!!
· Jobs/roles of each player in different formations
· Jobs/roles of the team in different formations
· MAIN FOCUS ON 1.4.3.3
KNVB Individual competition
This is a Dutch 4 or 5 a-side fun competition with an individual winner at the end of the session.
All players will get to play with a different team mate in every game and against each other with 1 winner at the end!!
Philosophy
SCF philosophy is to play free flowing, attractive, attacking football, with a better technical, game smart player, playing the ball on the ground and into feet when and where ever possible with plenty of good movement on and off the ball, creating space, supporting team mates and above all scoring great goals. Developing all players and creating champions.
