Referees Fitness Requirements 2011

Premier League

FIFA fitness tests 1 & 2 with Womens reference times

Test 1: 6 x 40m sprint in 6.6 sec each with 90 sec's rest between sprints

Test 2: 10 laps. 1 lap is 150m sprint in 35 sec + 40 sec walk + 150m sprint in 35 sec + 40 sec walk.

Reserve Grade

12 min running test, distance to be covered 2400m.

Senior referees at lower grades: 12 min running test, distance to be covered 2000m.

 

 

 

Referees Meetings

All referees encouraged to join the referee training nights on certain Wednesdays. In program:

  • Law discussions & tests
  • Informative Dvd's about all aspects of refereeing
  • Administrative info
  • Q's & A's
  • Free discussion about anything that has hapened to you or to your colleagues in the games

You will learn something every time and every time you learn something you will become just a little bit more confident on the field and will enjoy and perform better as a referee. It also shows your commitment to refereeing and helps you to become a recognised member of our large group.
